Unlikely: Surprise births due to contraceptive failures are common, you are not alone. Even if you take your pills regularly its only 99% effective and if you forget once in a while..Well effectiveness decreases further. There should not be a problem with your baby, enjoy the ride and don't worry. Take good prenatal care, make sure your nutrition is good and balanced rich in proteins, don't forget exercise. ...Read more

No: If you've missed any pills, they may not be as effective. You should be taking prenatal vitamins. Do a pregnancy test, stop the pills and use backup birth control. See your doctor. There is no evidence that taking the pill in early pregnancy increases the risks of birth defects. ...Read more
