Can Swimmers Ear Cause Jaw Pain
Is it unusual to have jaw pain on the side of the swimmers ear? It hurts alot. I have already seen a doctor to get an ear syringe aswell.
Also known as otitis externa, this is an infection of the outer ear canal. Patients usually have pain at the outer ear, and there may be fluid draining from the ear. Often these infections are caused by water accumulating in the ear canal, such as after swimming, or if the ear ...Read more
I have strange ear/jaw/throat symptoms. Hard lump to the side of the tragus. Typical swimmers ear symptoms except lump. It is hard and jaw hurts a bit. Mostly getting better on own but lump is scary!!
I am unable to give: You a diagnosis without actually seeing the lump and performing certain tests. Is it towards the jawline, fevers? Is the lump diminishing as your ear gets better? If yes then monitor if it continues for more than 2 weeks, I recommend visiting your primary for a thorough evaluation.See 1 more doctor answer
Ears hurt when laying in bed. Have ear Infection (probably swimmers ear). Doctor said I don't have a ruptured ear drum. Wind being suck in (after putting prescribed drop). Ear hurts when moving jaw. Yellow Green goo coming out (Should I Clean It?)
Otitis externa: No, you should not clean it yourself. See an ENT Doctor Who can carefully and properly clean the ear for you. That will help it heal safely and more quickly.
Quite Possible: I have not come across this, but it is possible. A spider bite typically causes a localized inflammatory response. The tempromandibular joint of your jaw comes into close proximity to your ear and thus could feel like jaw pain. If you already clench/grind your teeth, that area is already irritated and thus the spider bite could have made this discomfort more noticeable.See 2 more doctor answers
TMJ syndrome: Temporo-mandibular syndrome is the second most frequent cause of orofacial pain after dental pain. Headache, earache, sinus pain, tooth sensitivity and jaw pain are the common symptoms. Proper diagnosis is the key to successful treatment. See Orofacial Pain practitioner for a consultation and treatment options.See 2 more doctor answers
Yes, It's Possible: Problems within the tm joint can cause a huge variety of symptoms, which differ from person to person. Ear and jaw pain are very common. Facial tingling and numbness are less common, but still possible. Unfortunately, there's really no proven way for you to take care of this problem yourself. You need to see a dentist who's experienced with TMJ problems. Get help before your symptoms worsen!See 3 more doctor answers
My hear has been really hurting lately and I can't rest on that side of my head. I swim a lot aswell. Could this be swimmers ear?
Been havin bilateral jaw pain in front and below ear area. Intensified when bgin eat food. Almost like feeling of eating somethn sour. Burning. Causes?
Jaw pain: It sounds like either TMJ or salivary gland infection, either the parotid on the cheek or the submandibular under the jawline. TMJ more likely to be bilateral, but parotitis can be bilateral too - like mumps for example. You need to diagnose the focal cause of pain in question before addressing how to relieve it.
Face Pain: This could be a tooth that is dying and radiating pain. It may get worse as the sun goes down as your blood pressure changes due to exercise or just lying down or getting up in the morning. I would see your dentist first then see your md to rule out ant other causes.See 1 more doctor answer
What could be the cause of throat, ear and jaw pain that has last for over a month? No one can tell me anything!
I have an achey pain on the hard palate behind upper wisdom tooth. There is NO TOOTH PAIN. Cavity in the tooth. Could this b the cause. Ear & jaw pain?
Rarely: Unless the mastoid sinuses are infected, the pain is not expected to be in the areas. I suspect that you may have a jaw problem from teeth grinding. Consult your dentist.
Had swimmers ear, after AB its in my right ear.101.6 fever, front of my head huts, neck sore. Go to ER? Wait two days for my appointment?
Go to the ER.: A fever that high in a 22 year old is worrisome especially after already completing a course of antibiotics. Don't wait. Go get checked out.
