Stress (Definition)

Stress affects most people in some way. Acute (sudden, short-term) stress leads to rapid changes throughout the body. Stress makes everything worse. Why is this used as a diagnostic reason for the cause of IBS? They said the same thing about ulcers.

Stress makes everything worse. Why is this used as a diagnostic reason for the cause of IBS? They said the same thing about ulcers.

It's harder to run or fight w/ full gut/bladder - so they are voided. Released hormones are irritating if exposure is chronic and brain chemicals too are altered. So, we try to reduce, avoid or manage stress. Right? Therapy helps. ...Read more

Can amitriptyline cause eyelid to twitch? On ami for ibs-d. Not currently anxious or stressed. Right eyelid twitch for two weeks. No other neuro sympt

Dry eye related: Your eye lid is probably twitching due to ocular surface drying, or possibly due to irritation from your eyelids. Ocular dryness is common with antidepressants. Moderately warm eye lid compresses followed by gentle cleansing with baby shampoo may also help. ...Read more
