Can Soursop Fruit Treat Cancer
No: There is no scientific evidence that soursop fruit can help treat cancer. There are many alternative therapies that have been touted as being cures for cancer, and there are those who try to make a quick buck from very vulnerable patients. If you want to try these types of therapies as complements to your normal cancer care, talk with your oncologist. Some can actually interfere with treatment. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Can vitiamn b17 prevent and cure cancer? I heard that eating certain fruit seeds will prevent cancer? Is this used for cancer patients?
No: People with cancer can try to eat a healthy balanced diet that is tailored to their abilities (as their eating or digesting abilities may have decreased due to illness). They may need supplements or more of certain foods, to make up for special needs due to illness. However, trying to eat or drink more of a particular food that is NOT proven to help humans with SPECIFIC cancer issues, is not good. ...Read more

TCM for cancer: What you refer as oriental medicine is traditional chinese medicine correct? Tcm has thousand years history to support its effectiveness and efficacy. A lot of "western" chemotherapy are originally found and made from natural source-i.e.Such as sea cucumber, periwinkle plant. Etc. The problem is that it is really hard to prove/explain the mechanism/ efficacy of tcm using the western standard. ...Read more
No: If the diagnosis is correct, then they want to play you for a fool. Please forgive my frankness, and call me unspiritual if you want. It is hard enough to have incurable cancer -- harder still to be taken for thousands of dollars by sweet-talkers who may themselves be deceived. If you realize you have been scammed, call your local prosecutor -- i'll testify for free if it will help. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Cancer cell loves sugar.R fruits not suitable as cancer patients' diet? Read sum books tat veggie n fruit diet can inhibit cancer cell.Is tat correc?
Not effective: Cancer cells survive by outcompeting your normal cells. They certainly thrive on sugar, but all cells do. If you were to limit sugar, to starve out cancer, you would starve out every other cell as well. Veggie and fruit diets have health benefits but no proven anti-cancer benefits. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Worthless: Please forgive my frankness. If you're going to survive in a world full of sweet-talking disinformation artists, you're going to have to learn to recognize obvious untruths. There is nothing "spiritual" about believing something on emotion. Papaya is worthless as a cancer Rx and so is soursop. In science, truth can't be hidden. If either worked, the NIH piranhas would have proved it years ago. ...Read more
Not alone: We cannot trust herbals or remedies that have no good evidence that they help in serious research studies. In patients that have no good alternative to be cured herbals may be tried for compassion. Not all cancers are treated the same. Early stage cancer and some advanced cancers may be cured with conventional treatment. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Banana, garlic, lemons(calamansi), tomatoes, and honey are found to cure hypertension or help lower risk. If used as a mixed juice, can this still cure?
Hypertension: "help lower risk" is very different from "cure hypertension." some juices may be healthy when they contain antioxidants, like garlic. You really need to keep a close watch on your blood pressure, because even without symptoms it can still be high and affecting your organs (like blood vessels, heart, brain, and kidneys, etc). Please work with your doctor, and don't rely on juices alone. ...Read more

Proven vs unproven: By definition, "alternative" is different than modern western medicine. Generally any drug, herb, treatment, or procedure that stands up to rigorous scientific scrutiny is included in modern medicine. The problem is that many alternative practices, herbs etc do not stand up to scientific scrutiny and cannot be shown to work. They therefore remain "alternative". Soup may comfort but not cure. ...Read more
