Can Seven Month Babies Have Salt And Sugar In Thier Foods
What food should I start feeding my 6 monthes baby girl?? Can I add for her food some salt and sugar?
Solid food: You can start cereal, first. Rice, oat or barley. After this, fruits and vegetables. Some say veg before fruit, but it really doesn't matter. One new food every 3-5 days, to make sure baby doesn't have any reactions. Baby needs to be able to hold head up, and open her mouth when food is offered. No added sugar or salt, please. She will get it soon enough, without adding to food, now. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

6 months old baby started solid food but not favourable for her.Can i add sugar in her rice cereals so as to improve taste?adding sugar is harmful?
The problem is that : 6-month-olds have learned behaviors. If you start with sweetened foods, she will develop a preference for them. This is a good time to learn that you control the healthy food you offer her, but you can't MAKE her eat, sleep or poop in the potty. Try a vegetable; re-try cereal in a week.See www.aap.org/en-us/advocacy-and-policy/aap-health-initiatives/HALF-Implementation-Guide/Age-Specific-Content/P ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Here in malaysia, our foods are high in oil, salt, and sugar. Its tough to avoid cos theyre everywhere. Any other foods to minimize effects of those?
No: You can't really eat some other food to decrease the affect of another. If you eat a diet high in fat sodium and sugar and eat a lot of vegetables and fruit and whole grains on top of that you might be healthier because you are avoiding vitamin deficiencies but you don't neutralize the effects of the bad foods. ...Read more
