If I have been pushing because of difficult bowel movements a few times a day could it cause left side groin/pelvic pain and is this likely.

If I have been pushing because of difficult bowel movements a few times a day could it cause left side groin/pelvic pain and is this likely.

Yes it can happen: Groin pain while pushing for BM can be from few reasons. Inguinal (Groin) hernia can cause pain with pushing. Also, a sprain of inguinal muscle can cause the same. Keep your stools soft by eating a lot of fibers or take something like over the counter fibers. The sprain pain will go away in few days. For persistent pain or if worse with vomiting, fever then see your MD right away. ...Read more

Does exercise make sciatica or posterior pelvic pain worse when pregnant?

Hard to Say: When pregnant, there are so many things going on. Your hormones are very different causing your ligaments to stretch quite a bit especially in the pelvis resulting in pain. Also, the baby's position can place stress on your spine resulting in bulging discs or even herniated disks causing the sciatica pain. Recommend seeing a pregnancy specialized therapist that can guide you through this. ...Read more

Happy new yr! I'm on the nuvaring. I'm getting pelvic pain but i also have sciatica right now and I think the pain may be traveling. Is either possible? I worry about ov cancer too but that's a reach

Doubt OV CA: Especially if you have had a normal gyn exam within a reasonable time. Physical therapy might help but it would be nice to know what the problem is! ...Read more
