Probably but...: Olive leaf extract appears to be a broad-spectrum anti-microbial, effective against a wide variety of viruses, bacteria & fungi in the lab. I haven't found any published clinical studies on it for herpes but many patients claim it helps. While more research is needed it's safe to try. Broad question but..: I know of no known interactions between these herbs and oral contraceptives. As to whether these have any affect on hormones, that is a very broad question. I found one website that says lemon verbena can help regulate menstrual cycles and help with PMS, but it did not provide references so I don't know if research confirms this.
