Can pushing hard during a bowel movement mak IUD come out?

Can pushing hard during a bowel movement mak IUD come out?

Sometimes but...: Straining at stool on occasion may promote colonic emptying, but you do so at a cost--increased risk of hemorrhoids, anal fissures, & even passing out. The better question is, "why am i having a hard time feeling empty." work-up depends on your age, sex, medical problems, current drugs, level of activity, hydration. Rule out blockage, rectal dysfunction, inflammation, non-gi problems. Don't push! ...Read more

Pushing with constipation with iud?

Doubt a relationship: Would not think there would be a relationship to your iud and your constipation symptoms. By your question, it would seem you have difficulty having a bowel movement with increased straining/pushing. Check with your doctor/gynecologist for a full evaluation. Increasing water intake and a bulk laxative like metamucil or benefiber might be a good start fof your consitpation. ...Read more

How much bleeding is too much after a ParaGard IUD insertion? Is bloating normal? My body feels like it's trying to push it out. Normal?

How much bleeding is too much after a ParaGard IUD insertion? Is bloating normal? My body feels like it's trying to push it out. Normal?

Depends: Spotting is normal, heavy flow is not, unless you have it inserted in the middle of menstruation, which is recommended, or maybe coincidentally your period started, perhaps a bit early. Check your menstrual calendar. See your doctor for an exam if worried. If you have significant pain and a lot of bleeding, go to ER. It could be perforation. ...Read more

When an IUD is expelled does it just spontaneously fall out, or does the uterus actively push it out?

When an IUD is expelled does it just spontaneously fall out, or does the uterus actively push it out?

Iud moved.arm pushing against uterus. Was fine b4 but now I feel i have 2 pee always w constant pressure, bleeding, dizzy, low Back pain. Uti or iud?

IUd vs uti: Could be either. Does the back pain just under the ribs in the back? Does your urine smell, are you running a fever? These are all signs of an infection. You can always call your physician and get a script for an uti to see if the problem clears up. If it does not clear up, then you need to be seen. I am sure the obgyn can do an ultrasound to check the position of the IUD later. Good luck ...Read more

I recently had some rough and hard sex with my boyfriend and now I can't feel my iud strings can they be there still I'm just scared that they went far up to where I can not feel the strings anymore?

See your GP or OB: Usual advice is that if you can't feel your IUD strings, then you need to see your FamilyDoc (GP) or OB. But given that this occurred after some fun times, wait a day or so (unless you report stomach/abdominal/pelvic pain) and chances are you'll find the strings again. I'd worry about dislodged IUD if you had pain. Without pain, IUD is most likely in place. ...Read more

I am having a hard time finding my strings for my Iud but my boyfriend can because he has longer fingers. Is this a problem?

Why is it now hard to get pregnant — after never before having N issue? A month ago I had my IUD Paragard removed and have been trying since w/no luck

Patience: Only 20% of couples get pregnant within one month of actively trying. And those are the couples who have sexual intercourse during ovulation. I do not think any of us would say you are having any difficulties or even a hint of infertility this soon after removing an IUD. ...Read more

I had my last child 4 years ago but before that it had been about ten years since I had a baby and I just had an IUD put in im 32 years old but I do want one more child how hard will it be to get pregnant once IUD is removed and I don't get pregnant easy?

No problem: The iud should pose no additional problem in conceiving. There's only one birth control method that has been shown to prolong infertility and that's the depot Provera shot. As soon as the iud is removed, you should be good to try. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud does cause some thinning of the uterine lining, but a cycle or two and your lining will be perfect. ...Read more

One full term pred and one terminated pregnant then IUD 5yrs. Is it going to be hard to get pregnant?

Safe for fertility: The IUD, whether it's hormonal or copper, is one of the safest and most effective methods of birth control that you can use. It's long-lasting, reversible, and b/c it's made to work inside the uterus, it doesn't cause systemic side effects. You can have it placed and have your doctor remove it anytime you want to get pregnant. Should not have any impact on your fertility! ...Read more

I have been having pregnancy symptoms i currently have an iud. Today I went to the bathroom and there was a clot not bloody hard to describe no blood.

Without knowing what: Type of IUD you have, whether you have menstrual periods or not or what you mean by "pregnancy symptoms," I can't give you much useful info. Pregnancy can occur with an IUD but the IUD causes complications. If a pregnancy test is positive, see a gyno ASAP. If it's negative, get care if you have heavy bleeding or cramping, fever or other symptoms. Dr. Anne ...Read more

I never been pregnant and had an IUD put it im in a lott of pain he made sure it was in place but hard cramping and urethra hurts?

IUD pain: IUD's in a woman who has not been pregnant can cause cramps and bleeding because the IUD may be in the cervical canal, or just too large for a relatively small non-pregnant womb (uterus). If the cramping continues, have it removed, and think about an alternative type of birth control ...Read more

If my boyfriend can't stay hard but he still try to put his penis inside my vagina is there any way I can become pregnant? I have the, iud too

Unlikely, if...: If an IUD is in place, it works to prevent pregnancy right away. Many things are possible in life, which means the question should not be "can a woman get pregnant", but rather "is it unlikely or likely that a woman will get pregnant." It is very unlikely that a woman with an IUD in place will get pregnant, regardless of what else is happening. ...Read more

Is it possible for a penis to hit an IUD during sex? It feels like mine got jammed into my vagina walls last night & now it's hard to urinate...

Sort of...: Since the iud is in the uterus, the penis won't hit it directly during intercourse; however, it is common depending on anatomy, the comparative sizes of the partners, and the vigor of sex for the penis to hit the cervix, the opening of the uterus, or compress the uterus. Usually that should not cause a problem. If you are having symtpoms, or pain, you may have a UTI which can happen after sex. ...Read more

Why am i bleeding after intercourse? I am almost 20 years old and my boyfriend and I have been together for about a year. Last may I had the IUD put in. Since then my periods are completely random and hard to track. Sometimes they last one day, sometimes

Bleeding : Bleeding after intercourse can occur for a variety of reasons, including irritation of the cervix from an iud string. Other common causes include cervical polyps (small benign growths on the cervix that can bleed on contact) and infection of the cervix (cervicitis). A much more rare but serious cause of bleeding after intercourse is cancer of the cervix.

The bottom line is, if you are experiencing bleeding after intercourse and have not seen a medical provider to have it evaluated, you should. A review of your history, a pelvic exam, and in some cases a pap smear, cultures from the cervix, or other tests will identify the cause and allow the correct treatment, if needed. ...Read more

Take a test: It sounds like you're not sure, as in haven't been tested. It's more likely that something else is going on. Take a urine pregnancy test. If its negative and you're unconvinced, repeat in 2 weeks. If other symptoms appear: abdominal pain, vomiting, you need to see a doctor. ...Read more
