Can Prozac Trazadone Geodon Hydroxazine Benedryl Fail A Drug Test
Due to antipsychotics withdrawal I can't sleep. If take hydroxyzine benadryl & trazodone temporarily will my sleep patterns return & need no more meds?
That's too much. : I wouldn't think it prudent to pummel yourself to sleep with all of that. If anything, maybe just 25mg of Benadryl nightly. Although it would be better in the long run if you didn't take anything - would be a lousy few days but in the end your sleep would be more natural and spontaneous. ...Read more

I took 50 mg of trazadone 1 Benadryl gel cap and a 150mg hydroxyzine to go to sleep is this to much. I have so much trouble falling asleep ?
Frustrating!: Worsened sleep quality is a big hassle. Trazodone is an antidepressant; both Benadryl and hydroxyzine are antihistamines. Try to stick with one med from each category. Look at max doses: Trazodone 300-400mg, Benedryl 50mg, hydroxyzine 100mg. You could change your mix: something like Trazodone 150mg + Benedryl 50mg. The more important question is why you're not sleeping! See you Family Doc! ...Read more
The elimination half-life of trazodone is about 10-12 hours. It takes almost 6 elimination half-life's for a drug to be cleared from the human body. Well... It will not...: Attempting to foil a drug screen will just add misery for you--your employer or whoever is requesting the drug screen will see you not just a dope but also a liar (trying to hide/sabotage your drug test). So, it is better to come clean. If you have a problem, ask for help and you will get more respect that way. Be good. Be sober. Be drug-free. Be respected. Good luck. ...Read more

It depends,,: It depends on what you're being tested for and how much benedryl you took. Apparently it may cause a false positive result for Methadone in some urine drug screens using competitive binding immunoassays, and if too much is taken, it can cause blurry vision, photophobia, heart failure, and death, but a lot has to be taken. Otherwise, there should not be much of a problem. Good luck. ...Read more

No: Geodon (ziprasidone) does not damage histamine or Dopamine receptors nor any other receptors in the central nervous system that we are aware of. I do not know why you were on Geodon (ziprasidone) in the first place, but if you're not feeling well i would recommend that you go back to your physician. See derm: See dermatologist since there are many causes for itching. On the other hand, the rash needs to be examined even though it may come from repeated scratching. ...Read more

I take risperdol, trazodone, Prozac (fluoxetine) & lithium. And I think I may be in very early pregnancy. Should I just stop taking them? Could it effect my baby?
Work with doctors: From the medicines you're taking, it sounds like you've been dealing with a serious mental illness, possibly bipolar disorder. Stopping these medicines suddenly would risk relapse of this illness -- not a good idea. Please discuss these issues with your psychiatrist and obstetrician -- they know you. The risk to your baby and you of getting sick is very high, vs the benefit of remaining stable. ...Read more

How long should I wait to begin Prozac (fluoxetine) after taking a single non-repetitive dose of Trazodone to avoid elevated risk of serotonin syndrome?
Ask your doctor: According to your profile, you're pregnant so please check with your OB to make sure both meds are ok to take. Not sure what "non-repetitive" Trazodone dose means. Insomnia bad, i put on Prozac 10 mg and trazadone 50 mg. Taken 2 days. I was taking serqouel 50 mg & worked for a while but stopped working. Dr. Said stop seroquel (quetiapine) since given new meds, what do ido?
Maybe more trazodone: You have to talk to your doctor about what to do. We can't advise or treat you over the internet. But here's something to consider: seroquel (quetiapine) 50 mg is stronger than trazodone 50 mg. The latter is usually a better choice for insomnia, but the dose may need to go up. Prozac (fluoxetine) may help depression or anxiety that interferes with sleep, but it takes a few weeks to work. Good luck. ...Read more
