If i take probiotics everyday for awhile, will i become dependent on them. Im just curious if i were to stop taking them, could it cause constipation?

Except in unusual clinical circumstances, however, regular use of probiotics hasn't been shown to improve your health. Probiotic: There are many good products. The ones that work have to survive the stomach acid so the beneficial bacteria can make it alive into the colon area. Looks for brands that say acid resistant or formulated to resist stomach acid. One probiotic that survives stomach juices is theralac (google it). You may try different ones. Best way to treat severe constipation? Have tried probiotics, 3 litres of h2o, fiber, & exercise. Seem to be getting worse not better.
Moderation is good: You're on the right track. Eating a balanced diet that includes fiber, drinking lots of water and exercise is the first step.
