Prilosec for 6 months and HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) for 8. Experiencing muscle pain and just tired all the time. Could this be the low potassium cause by rx.

Call dr again: Two things come to mind- (1) You have an adverse drug reaction to Prilosec (stopping it for a few days would be justified) or (2) Your problem is not from acid reflux at all or it may just be a coincidence. However, that being said, if you do notice pain in muscles after every time you drink it, I would try to avoid it. Unfortunately, there is no test to prove this diagnosis but instead you doctor needs to rule out the other suspects first.
