Things to check for: duration of symptoms, fever, timing related to meals, nighttime, urinary complaints, bowel changes, appetite changes, weight loss, nausea, bleeding; last md was when? Age related re: colon polyps, ca, ovarian cysts, etc.

A gyn doctor can also assess you for other perimenopausal symptoms, such as disrupted sleep, low libido, vaginal dryness, or hot flashes.
