Castor oil in preg: Castor oil has traditionally been used in pregnancy as a by-mouth supplement to help stimulate labor. There is no good study to show what happens when you apply castor oil topically. It might start contractions, so it should probably be avoided. Best to wait: Until afterwards. There's a slight chance you might have a skin infection, or secondary infection from the piercing that will need to be attended to with an antibiotic cream or pills, that would not be advisable during pregnancy. If you can wait, then it would be better after your pregnancy to do, and after breastfeeding too. So, unless it's urgent, protect yourself and your baby now. ...Read more

Had eyebrows waxed (33 weeks pregnant). Used solution with sda-40b alcohol, octoxynol-9 and dmdm hydantoin. Harmful?

Had eyebrows waxed (33 weeks pregnant). Used solution with sda-40b alcohol, octoxynol-9 and dmdm hydantoin. Harmful?

Eye brows: Fist is a commercially used alcohol. The absorption trough intact skin is almost 0, even after the waxing process. The octoxynol-9 is a spermicide which is not longer used in us because the manufacturers refuse to test it in pregnant animals, and the third component is a formaldehyde releasing agent used as antimicrobial and preservative with a to be neglected absorption.
