Unlikely: Although chromium can be quite toxic, most of the problem has been with the hexavalent type. That is the kind used to make things shiny. The picolinate salt uses trivalent chromium. That kind is much safer. Cinnamon has not typically caused problems. The preferred agent for diabetes in pregnancy is insulin, though metformin is used sometimes.
