Check sunblock used if it's waterproof, may have chemicals that are irritating plus with sweat and sun can cause a hypersensitivity response. Make sure to wash it all off with mild soap and water. Possible fungus: Tinea versicolor could have that appearance. It is a common superficial fungal infection. Check back as well. Selsun lotion or topical anti-fungal ointments could be tried. Likely ringworm : Tinea corporus is very common and should resolve with over the counter clotrimazole 1% cream twice a day. If the rash doesn't start improving quickly, go to a doctor for evaluation and treatment.
