Can Pms Be Something Serious
Hi I have been spotting for a week I bleed after intercourse and I'm still spotting now I gave blood clots is this pms r something serious?
Around that time of the month, I experience significant anxiety and feel an overwhelming sense of sadness. Is this just a symptom of PMS or could I have something more serious?
PMS: It could be either or. If your symptoms are exclusive to the time of your menstrual bleed it may be an element of pms. If you have symptoms throughout the month however they worsen at the time of your menstrual bleed, then it may be something more serious. Yes: I have seen patients who have been diagnosed as just having pms when, in fact, bipolar disorder was the correct diagnosis. It is an important distinction because pms is often treated with an ssri medication, and bipolar disorder shouldn't be. For the past 2 weeks both my breastfeeding have been sore. Some cramping and serious pms. My body has been uncomfortable as well. Am i pregnant?
PMS Relief: Nsaid’s, ssri’s, hormone meds, otc meds containing diuretics, warm bath, heating pad, exercise & acupuncture are excellent for pms. Avoid caffeine, chocolate, alcohol & salt. Get gyn eval to r/o underlying pathology. Consider omega- 3 fatty acids, magnesium (supplementation or through diet) or black cohosh with dr ok.
