Probably fine: Who knows if you have active viruses in your mouth which would then stay viable on your toothbrush and then be transmissible to your son? You will just have to see. Yuk!: Three issues here. First, who didn't throw the toothbrush out right away? Second, you can catch other things as well from the contaminated toothbrush but i would be overly concerned. Third, if you have bleeding gums you need to see a dentist as that is an indication of periodontal (gum) problems which will only get worse over time.
