Yes and No: Pcos most often causes troubl getting pregnant due to irregular ovulation so there are fewer and more random chances for the egg & sperm to get together and fertilize. Ther eis also a small in creased risk of 1st trimester miscarriage in pt's with pcos. Unclear abbreviation: I am unclear about some of your abbreviations. I catch polycystic ovary but I do not catch ttc and I do catch the mthr gene but unclear how it affects you. I've had recurrent miscarriages, doctor suspects mild pcos. I ovulate regularly but I think it causes the egg to not fully develop. Would Clomid (clomiphene) help?

Possibly, but…: You should be tested for pcos and then be referred to a fertility specialist to evaluate the problem of recurrent miscarriages. Be sure to mention all meds & supplements you may be taking. ...Read more

Clomid (clomiphene) is : Generally safe to take by prescription with a doctor who knows how to monitor it. It usually shoudnt be used more than 6 months without re-evaluation. Only a doctor who knows how to prescribe and monitor, who knows you and has exmained you, has any business telling you whether you "should" take it. ...Read more

Need more info: Did you conceive without fertility meds? What tests have you had done? Have you seen a fertility specialist? I'm sure you are frustrated by the way things have gone so far. You might consider seeing a fertility specialist to facilitate getting pregnant. ...Read more
