Can Ovulation Tests Detect Early Pregnancy
I had 10 positive clearblue digital ovulation test in a row. What's going on? Could the ovulation test detect early pregnancy? .
OPK: The accuracy of OPK varies - a 10 day LH surge is not physiological so it's either a bad test or you have a very unusual ovulation. I recommend once you get a positive there is no good reason to continue testing further, hope this helps. The test is very unlikely detecting pregnancy at this time, sorry. ...Read more

Hpt: At least one early pregnancy test product states it can provide results 6 days prior to a missed period. The company states it is > 99% accurate the day of the expected period. If you are using a standard pregnancy test would wait until you miss a period. If negative and still no period would repeat HPT in a week. Take care. ...Read more
Too early for preg: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. 7 days post ovulation is a little too early. ...Read more
Way early: Even the most sensitive pregnancy test is not reliable until about 11 days post-fertilization; it doesn't do any good testing earlier. Generally any level below 4-5 should be considered negative. Good wishes. ...Read more
Negative pregnancy test at 8-9 days past ovulation. I used the first response early result test this afternoon. Can I still be pregnant?
Could be: Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about two weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully. ...Read more

I just got a + pregnancy test at 7 day's post ovulation! Is this real? Am I pregnant? Is it even possible to get a +hpt (implantation-dpo4)this early?
Congrats, read on: No, seven days after an exactly known ovulation is too early for a positive test, implantation doesn't occur until 6-7 days post-ov. But, if your ovulaiton is not exactly known you could still be pregnant. Women who use HCG ('trigger') shots can also get false positives if they test before it has cleared the system. Good luck. ...Read more
7 days past ovulation, why do I feel pressure on my left ovary and tender nipples is it too early to be pregnant? When should I take a pregnancy test
Hormones are high: A week after you ovulate, your Progesterone is peaking and your estrogen is also quite high. These can cause breast tenderness. The corpus luteum, the gland that is made where ovulation occurs, can be large and can cause ovarian pain. It's too early to detect pregnancy, and it's too early for your symptoms to be from pregnancy. Do a pregnancy test when you would normally start your period. ...Read more

What's it mean when I've gotten multiple positive ovulation tests? Could it be picking up pregnancy or?
Can a ovulation test be positive if you are pregnant? Is it true some women have a cycle or similar to one during their pregnancy?
Two questions: Tricky answer in a few words. Women do not ovulate or cycle when pregnant; this is myth. Some bleed from other causes they confuse for a period. An ovulation test could in theory be + but not from ovulation, only if the lh test cross-reacts with hcg. Since a pregancy test is positive before the next ovulation, there'd be no reason to test ovulation. ...Read more

Two weeks after ovul: The earliest way to tell if you are pregnant is with an early detection pregnant test done on your first voided urine in the morning. Prenatal vitamins: If you're already trying to conceive, start taking prenatal vitamins to lower risk of spinal tube defects. Still possible: You could have done the test too early. Repeat it 1 week after the first to be sure.
