How many days after a period do you ovulate?

How many days after a period do you ovulate?

Depends: Ovulation typically takes place 14 days prior to the menstrual cycle. Therefore, in a 28 day cycle, ovulation usually happens at approximately day 14. In women who have cycles greater than 28 days, ovulation will take place later than day 14. In women with cycles shorter than 28 days, ovulation will take place earlier than day 14. ...Read more

Can you let me know how many days after a period does a woman ovulate?

Can you let me know how many days after a period does a woman ovulate?

Day 14 but it varies: In an idealized 28-day cycle ovulation occurs 14 days after the first day (cd 14) of the last mentrual period. In real life, most of us have seen apparently normal ovulations between day 11 and maybe 15-16. For women with regular but longer cycles, let's use 35 days as an example, best guess is usually 35-14= cycle-day 21. With irregular cycles, there is no general reliable rule of thumb. ...Read more

About 12 days post: If you have 25 day cycles then you are probably ovulating on day 10-12 with menses coming 12-14 days later. Most fertile window would likely be cycle day 10-12 as well since most conceptions occur on day before or day of ovulation. ...Read more

If i had my last period between july 19th-25th and it lasted 5 days when did ovulation likely occur?

About 2 weeks after: Ovulation usually happens about 2 weeks after the start of the last period (july 19 in this case). For a 28-day cycle, that's about day 14. It all depends on cycle length. For a 30-day cycle, ovulation is about 2 days later, on day 16 (see the pattern?). Life is not exact, so all dates are estimates. ...Read more

Sex on firtle days and ovulation. And light pink spotting occurred before period was due. What is this?

Light spotting: If you were having unprotected sex with the intention to conceive around your ovulation, there is the possibility you could be pregnant. You don't say how close you are to getting your normal period, but light spotting occurring around the time of your normal period can be implantation bleeding- when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterus. If no full period in 1-2 weeks, take a pregnancy test. ...Read more

I had my last period on 11/18/12 befor that it was 10/13/12 36 days between periods , when will i ovulate?

A guess: If you typically have 36 day cycles then since ovulation is usually 12-14 days prior to menses that puts ovulation at day 21-22 or so...But if your cycles vary from 26-36 days then all bets are off. Good luck. ...Read more
