It's a longshot.: The failure rate for tubal ligations is about 1-2 per 1000 procedures. It does depend some on the type of procedure done. Burning has the lowest chance of pregnancy while those done right after being pregnant have the highest failure rate. More likely, the skipped period is due to something else.
