I had regular period before using provera (medroxyprogesterone) for 3month because of 3 ovarian cyst. When I stop using it my priod became irregular why?
Depo-provera?: If referring to depo-provera, it is not uncommon to have irregular menstrual cycles afterwards, as ovulatory cycles are temporarily disrupted. It takes time for Lupron (leuprolide) to be completely out of one's system. It is not uncommon for several months to pass before regular menstrual cycles return. However, if still irregular menses after 6 months, it is reasonable to consult gyn for further evaluation. ...Read more

Anovulation: You may have anovulation (absence of ovulation) that manifests in absent periods followed by profuse irregular bleeding spells. Not per se:
An ovarian cyst by itself should not alter the menstrual bleeding. However, depending on the type of cyst, it may be associated with hormonal disturbance.
Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

If you are not pregnant, the cause may be hormonal. Irregular periods are a very common problem and can be treated. I recommend seeing an ob/gyn doctor for evaluation, especially if you don't have a period in the next two months. ...Read more
I have an ovarian cyst on my left side. I just started bleeding, period isent due for two weeks? What is this?
2 Things: It's possible, though unlikely, that the ovarian cyst caused your bleeding. Most cysts aren't hormonally 'active' as it were and wouldn't affect the uterus' cycling. More likely is that you are having breakthrough bleeding, due to changes in your ovaries' production of estrogen and progesterone. See a doctor if the breakthrough bleeding continues. ...Read more
