Not a good idea: Its never a good idea to mix medication with alcohol. Although there is not a direct reaction between alcohol and a beta blocker the efffect of alcohol on blood pressure and pulse rate may make immediate use of either after the other a bad idea.To be safe I would take the beta blocker either in the morning or just before bed so that alcohol can be taken at the "usual" cocktail hour time! To good health: If you are taking antibiotics for an infection -in your case azithromycin, you should really focus on getting well. Especially since you are still early in the treatment.
