Generally not: To my knowledge Gabapentin does not treat skin infections. Properly selected and dosed antibiotics are probably the best approach along w/environmental measures. If you take it out it lasts shorter time.It is dosed twice daily or after meals so max you should have it out of fridge is one day ( better 12h) The insulin wont break down in this short period of time. LONGER IT will so keep you insulin in fridge thanks ...Read more

The dentist may use anesthetic such as 0.3ml lidocaine with 1:100, 000 epinephrine. Would this interact/ have problems with my heart or BP medication.

Little concern: Stress form the procedure, particularly if you were not numb, would cause your body to release more Epinephrine then what is in the local anesthetic. That said I do try to error on the side of caution depending on the heart condition by not using the maximum dose( approximately 8 full injections) and breaking up multiple procedures over several appointments. ...Read more

Other than half life and peak times how do klonopin (clonazepam) and ativan actually differ? Can klonopin (clonazepam) be used also as a mood stabilizer as in other countries

No evidence: I looked online and could find no evidence that Klonopin (clonazepam) can act as a mood stabilizer. I have a practice of about 800 outpatients. A large number of them are bipolar with a variety of anxiety disorders comorbidly. I also do not shy away from high doses when necessary. I don't believe that i've ever seen a mood stabilizing effect from klonopin (clonazepam). I do believe that there've been a few times that I have seen klonopin (clonazepam)have more of a depressing effect on the mood if anything. Best wishes. ...Read more

Can latuda be safely used with onglyza (saxagliptin) and tegretol..Do adjustments need to be made to either drugs....Seems may be interactions?

Tegretol interaction: The big problem yes with the tegretol which greatly lowers the blood levels of both Latuda and onglyza (saxagliptin). Your doctor would undoubtedly have to reconsider the use of tegretol, perhaps use Depakote or lithium or no mood stabilizer instead since Latuda is approved for mono therapy in bipolar depression. You've been juggling a lot of interactions between the tegretol and the Lamictal and your diabetes medications. You may be able to simplify things greatly with the addition of latuda. Best wishes and feel free to contact me if you have any further questions. Dr. J. ...Read more
