I have been diagnosed with one 7mm cyst on my right lobe of the thyroid gland and one of 9mm on the left lobe. Can this cause dizziness and choking?

No: Small thyroid nodules and cysts are common in the general population, especially women over age 40. These cysts usually have no clinical significance, and are too small to cause any symptoms. A 9mm cyst is the size of a pea. ...Read more

See a neurologist: These symptoms may represent a headache or other neurological condition. You should keep a log of the location, timing, duration, and intensity of these episodes and take the log with you to a neurologist. Https://www. Aan. Com/Guidelines/Home/ByTopic? What to do if I injured a nerve or something in my neck & am getting dizzy spells -- is this dangerous?

What to do if I injured a nerve or something in my neck & am getting dizzy spells -- is this dangerous?

UNKNOWN CAUSE: It doesn't seem all that likely that a nerve in the neck is the source of dizziness. Getting up suddenly can do it ordinarily. But you haven't described the dizziness well enough to zero in on it. See your dr and get a diagnosis.
Then you'll be in a position to fix the problem. ...Read more

I have been having dizzy spells and my head feel real heavy and my neck is tight?

I have been having dizzy spells and my head feel real heavy and my neck is tight?

Dizziness again: My least favorite symptom is dizziness because it is a vague non-medical term meaning many different things to different people. Head heaviness and neck tightness however are not vague--they are common symptoms usually due to either a muscular problem (including stress) or structural problems of the spine. Try simple stretches of the neck etc, if this doesn't work out in a week, get it checked. ...Read more

Found a big lump below the right ear on the neck. Really tired, and getting sudden dizzy spells. Any ideas?

Lymphadenopathy: What you are describing sounds like "lymphadenopathy", which means your lymph gland is likely swollen. If this correlates with the new onset of tiredness and dizzy spells it is best to see your primary care physician for further evaluation. Commonly, lymphadenopathy is a nonspecific reaction to a viral illness but rarely can be indicative of a more serious illness. ...Read more

What conditions involve dizziness, headaches, stiff neck, shoulder pain and nausea, fatigue had this since I was 3 I get severe dizzy spells?

See below: Your numerous symptoms could be attributed to a myriad of conditions. Without a comprehensive history and physical exam it would be difficult to offer you a diagnosis. The reassuring thing is that your condition is likely not a fatal condition since it has been present since age 3. A dysautonomia is most likely. Tilt table testing can help make diagnosis. ...Read more

Doc says my dizzy spells could be COPD but its generalized in my neck and head! Tingling in both and like fuzzy vision heat intolerance any suggestion?

Headaches at all?: Do you have bad headaches at all in conjunction or aside from these "dizzy spells? " I think it is possible for your symptoms to be at least contributed to by COPD. Is stopping the cigarettes not an option? I think that should be seriously considered in order to help take just a little more complexity off the table for this problem. Normal thyroid? ...Read more

I've been having pain lower right back. Traveling down buttocks an leg. Around to abdomin. Headaches. Dizzy spells. Nausea right shoulder an neck pain?

Not anatomical: Widespread symptoms would suggest more of a systemic process than a specific anatomical issue (ie not a disc herniation causing all of your symptoms). I would focus on blood work rather than imaging studies as part of your work up. ...Read more

My mom has fracture of the spine C5 and wearing a flexible collar. She complains about neck pain and dizzy spells. What to do?

See her doctor now: The neck pain is expected from fracture in this region. I would assume this is stable fracture if she was given flexible collar. The concern is that dizzy spells could cause her to fall possibly causing another injury or further injuring this level. The pain or the pain medication may be the cause or maybe this is the reason she sustained the fracture in the first place & that needs evaluation. ...Read more

Would having thyroid nodules and an enlarged thyroid gland cause me extreme tiredness, I have not got an over or under active thyroid?

Look for another cau: If your thyroid is functioning normally (not under active) then the cause of your tiredness is not thyroid related. There are many other causes that only your doctor can define/address by examining you and testing your lab. Make sure that you are not anemic (check cbc) and your emotional health is normal and that you are sleeping well. Anyone of these can be cause for day time fatigue and need attent. ...Read more

Thyroidologist: A thyroidologist or endocrinologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you about your thyroid status and ultrasound findings and to determine whether a needle biopsy and/or referral to a thyroid surgeon is advisable. As a rule multiple nodules are more apt to be benign as opposed to a single cold nodule in males. Follow-up in these cases are also important even after the first consultation. ...Read more
