What is the cause of nerve pain on left side of head and down left side of body with nausea?

Thalamic pain: Can produce pain on one side of the body (including the head). The clinical course may help with sorting out what is going on. Is this jolts of pain, progressive episodes of pain and are there any other symptoms besides nausea? Does change in body position relative to gravity affect the pain? You need to have this worked up. Nerve (Definition)

The brain and spinal cord communicates with what is occurring in the internal organs and limbs by nerve fibers where are like electrical wires with insulation (myelin) and the "copper" (axon). Within brain and spinal cord these nerves connect to other nerves via synapses on both axons and dendrites. A nerve can carry information regarding sensations, and ...Read more

I've been on gabapentin at an increasing dosage for 2yrs. At 3200mg/day for nerve pain. Stopped cold turkey. Would this cause nausea? Other affects?

I've been on gabapentin at an increasing dosage for 2yrs. At 3200mg/day for nerve pain. Stopped cold turkey. Would this cause nausea? Other affects?

Don't!: Gabapentin is an anti-seizure medication and is used for nerve pain. At 3200mg/day, you are at higher dose for gabapentin. You need to be weaned off Gabapentin if desired. If you stop abruptly, you might develop seizure. Please see your doctor before making any change.

Concussion: Sounds like possible concussion, even if you don't think you hit your head. Get evaluated by your doctor to make sure everything else checks out on your exam.

Having nausea last 2 weeks I have nerve pain all over my body. Random headaches. And feel like there's pressure inside my head. Is it a brain tumor?

Having nausea last 2 weeks I have nerve pain all over my body. Random headaches. And feel like there's pressure inside my head. Is it a brain tumor?

Possible not likely: Brain tumors are particularly uncommon in patients your age. Headache is a common symptom in brain tumor patients but is also seen in many other conditons, more often than with tumors. 'nerve pain' all over your body doesn't sound like a brain tumor symptom. See your doctor for a referral to a neurologist and likely for a head MRI scan to reassure your about this.

Can anxiety disorder cause nerve pain?

No: But anxiety can be converted by the brain into somatic symptomatology which includes pain. Determining whether this is "nerve pain" or something else is best left to your neurologist or psychological therapist.

Can my nerve pain cause anxiety and depresion?

Indirectly, yes: Nerve pain can come from many causes. Some might also cause physiological mood/anxiety disturbances. Without knowing the details of your pain - it's not surprising to hear of those problems too. If your energy and resources are being depleted coping with pain -irritability, worry and unhappiness are all quite likely - it makes sense. I'd avoid medicating them. Resolve the pain and see if they go.

Does genetia herpes cause testicule pain and nerve pain?

Does genetia herpes cause testicule pain and nerve pain?

Usually not: Herpes causes pain where the rash breaks out, because that is where the nerve endings containing the viruses are. If there is testicle pain, a primary care doctor or a urologist can evaluate for other types of infections, and also for testicular torsion (if the pain is bad). The doctors check for cancer, too.

How can I relieve acute nerve pain in the lower half of my arm? Started about 24 hours ago, not sure what caused it.

Various causes: Arm pain may be due to carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel nerve problems, but could also be secondary to musculo-skeletal strain/sprain, issues with bones or joints, bursitis, synovitis, arthritis. If this persists, check in with your doctor and track down causation, so specific therapeutic intervention can be initiated.

What are the possible causes of widespread neural tension (nerves do not glide properly causing nerve pain/symptoms)?

What are the possible causes of widespread neural tension (nerves do not glide properly causing nerve pain/symptoms)?

Nerve pain: Not entirely sure what you mean. Where are the nerves not gliding normally? In your spine, or in the soft tissues due to tension in the muscles? Some people have lower threshold for nerves to start transmitting pain (fibromyalgia symptoms can stem from that) and maybe there is a start to help you with treatment. Neurontin (gabapentin) medication might help you, or a muscle relaxer other than flexeril. Goodluck.

Dothiepin has benefit in management of neuralgia. Can withdrawal of dothiepin cause nerve pain as a withdrawal symptom?

Dothiepin has benefit in management of neuralgia. Can withdrawal of dothiepin cause nerve pain as a withdrawal symptom?

Yes: If this tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) is working for the treatment of your neuralgia, then if you stop taking the medication, it's likely the neuralgia pain will reemerge. Discontinuation after chronic TCA use can lead to Parkinson-like symptoms and balance problems. See your physician before making any medication changes. Http://www. Medscape. What is the medical causes of hallucinations and nerve pain?

Quite a range: There are seventeen or so types of hallucinations, and most are classified by the sensory system they affect most. As these sensory systems are also powered by nerves, some of the conditions can make the nerve painful. Many differnt drugs can induce hallucinations, but so can certain types of brain degenerative disorders. Best to see a physician to cover this large territory.
