I have a hydrocele that feels hard. I had an ultrasound 5 years ago, and it confirmed the hydrocele. How often do you need a follow up?

Hydrocele: may expand and contract on its own. Wearing supportive underwear may help. You can have the hydrocele drained but this is usually only a temporary solution. Surgery is the only permanent solution but it doesn't sound like you need that at this point. ...Read more

?see uologist: I don't have your reports unfortunately. If you are asymptomatic and the tests confirm a minimal hydrocele, there is no need for any treatment. If there are symptoms, a hydrocele can be aspirated(fluid drawn off with a needle) but the fluid often returns. If you physician has any concern, you should be referred to a urologist. ...Read more

Ultrasound reveals hydrocele, epididymal cysts and 2 varicocele on the left side. Should i be concerned? I am 39 years.

"Scrotal cocktail": Fortunately all3 conditions are benign. Not to worry. Only need treatment if scrotal problems are interfering with your life, ie pain, discomfort , infertility or hydrocele is too large for you to want to live with it forever. Good urologic surgeon could certainly correct all 3 with one operation. Could have just a hydrocelectomy, + varicocelectomy if ur infertile. Most epudidymal cysts can b left. ...Read more

Since : There is a new something you feel, my suggestion is to go back to see the urologist who sent you fort the us test. He will examine you and tell u if there anything to do about it. Without being examined , it is impossible to give a good advise in ur case.I am sorry! ...Read more
