Depends: Some people are sensitive to certain brands or vitamin combinations. Nausea, constipation, vomiting can occur with iron. Too much vitamin a can caused raised intracraniel pressure (headache vomiting or worse) magnesium can sometimes cause diarrhea. You can be allergic to any medication (rash or worse).
There is a: Wide safety margin on vitamins. Check the ingredients; these particular vitamins will tend to have a bit more calcium but otherwise not that different and a wide safety margin. Should be: Ok. Just little extra on the vitamins. What your body needs it will use. What it doesn't it will excrete. Talk to you doctors And let them know you are on both
Check the label: Look for St. John's Wort as an ingredient. St. John's wort increases the metabolism of hormones found in birth control pills. If you mix the two and are taking oral contraceptives as birth control, you may have an unintended pregnancy in spite of perfect medication use. Also look for the scientific name for the plant which is Hypericum perforatum, sometimes abbreviated H. perforatum. Best of luck!See 1 more doctor answer

No substitute: Vitamins, (whether prenatal or not) are not an adequate substitute for a good diet. This includes fruits, veggies, proteins. Is there any particular reason why you don't eat them? It is best for YOU and baby to get adequate amount in your diet, and lots of options to do so.

Can you take prenatal vitamins for no particular reason, or would that overdose you with vitamins?
Not harmful: A prenatal vitamin would not be harmful. However, if you get a good, balanced diet, you would not need it, with one exception; a supplement of 400 micrograms daily of folate (folic acid) (found in multivitamins and prenatal vits) is recommended for women even before they get pregnant to reduce the risk of some birth defects in the babies.
