Mono 2 years ago. Since then the lymph nodes under my jaw are always swollen. And I am pretty sure I have chronic tonsillitis. Are they connected?

can be both: Mono can sometimes leave the neck nodes swollen for a long time. If indeed it is tonsillitis you will need antibiotics or your tonsils removed. You need to see an ENT specialist to be sure. ...Read more

Dr said I have mono. Lymph nodes swollen on underside od jaw and just noticed one on the left side above collar bone. Is this normal?

Typical for mono: This sounds normal for infectious mononucleosis. Discuss with your doctor if any doubt about the diagnosis. ...Read more

Are they changing?: You pose an excellent question. I share your concern. The most important question to ask right now is: "have these two lymph nodes changed in any way?" if the answer is that these nodes are stable, non-tender, not red, and are gently movable; then, these are probably lymph nodes that have little to worry about. However, since you raise this question, have your doctor feel these next office visit. ...Read more

If your doctor believes that your blood work suggests something OTHER than chronic mono, then you might want to have a lymph node biopsied to be sure that there isn't something more serious lurking, such as lymphoma. ...Read more
