How long should it take to get rid of c diff o was in the hospital for 15 days and was treated with vancomycin and a week later I am back in the hospital in sever stomach pain again back on the vancomycin is this normal I do also have lupus.

Cl diff: Are you on any medications for your lupus ? What the trigger for your first episode of cl diff? Was that related to a course of abx? Have you been tested with flagyl also ? Most cl diff will respond to vancomycin but there are other options. Request a consult with an Infectoius disease doc.
