In context of cryofibrinogenemia, lupus-type ctd and adrenal insufficiency, what could cause increase in GI symptoms, nausea, and vomiting with adrenal crisis, when estrogen/progestin drugs are taken?

Cortisol deficiency : With true adrenal insufficiency diagnosed by an endocrinologist, one would need to be taking cortisol replacement therapy. Some: No weight gain with Methotrexate but nausea and fatigue can occur in a minority of patients. My upper abdomen hurts and into upper back. I get rotten egg / sewer smelling burps and nausea. I'm weak and dizzy a lot. Have lupus and fibromyalgia?

Possible causes : Include a parasite called giardia lamblia, or a bacteria called helicobacter pylorii slow gastric emptying time can also cause this due to the acid in your stomach causing breakdown of proteins releasing sulfur containing products such as methionine. The fact that you are having abdominal pain makes me think that the most likely cause is a h pylorii infection which can cause gastritis or a stomach ulcer. If you have severe abdominal pain lasting more than four hours, as a rule you should go to the emergency room for evaluation. If you develop severe diarrhea, the more likely cause is giardia. Gastroesophageal reflux disease can also cause this. Best wishes. ...Read more

This may occur following a viral infection or in association with an underlying connective tissue disease such as lupus which may or may not fully manifest itself. You need autonomic testing and anti-neuronal antibodies for evaluation. The condition is treatable with steroids and immunosuppression. ...Read more
