Lupus And The Pancreas
My upper abdomen hurts and into upper back. I get rotten egg / sewer smelling burps and nausea. I'm weak and dizzy a lot. Have lupus and fibromyalgia?
Possible causes : Include a parasite called giardia lamblia, or a bacteria called helicobacter pylorii slow gastric emptying time can also cause this due to the acid in your stomach causing breakdown of proteins releasing sulfur containing products such as methionine. The fact that you are having abdominal pain makes me think that the most likely cause is a h pylorii infection which can cause gastritis or a stomach ulcer. If you have severe abdominal pain lasting more than four hours, as a rule you should go to the emergency room for evaluation. If you develop severe diarrhea, the more likely cause is giardia. Gastroesophageal reflux disease can also cause this. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Not likely: Why worry about 3 disorders, as you likely possess one unifying diagnosis to explain your problems. A good place to start is with an endocrinologist to deal with diabetes and the complications secondary to this. Focus on these issues, and later, if things seem peculiar look into co-morbities. Lastly, if you possess diabetes and lupus, doubt you have ms in addition. ...Read more
I have an ANA that goes from 1.1 or below up to 1.3. Does a fluctuating result like this mean I don't really have lupus?
Not follow ANA: We do not use ANA titers to follow lupus. Also the ANA alone can not diagnose lupus. The are other tests and other examinations that are done to diagnose lupus and to follow the course of lupus. Lab studies are part of a biologic system and can fluctuate but we do not use them alone for diagnosis or to follow a course of lupus. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
