From last 1.5 months, pain on right side of chest till back, ultrasound whole abdomen diagone kidney stone 5mm & chest xray normal, I do gyming?

See answer: If kidney stone is in your right kidney and if question is whether kidney stone is the cause of your described pain, the answer is "possibly" if no other valid cause of your pain has been established. That said, a 5 mm renal stone in a young adult has the potential to cause problems at some point, and certainly not unreasonable to recommend eswl treatment regardless of whether it is symptomatic. ...Read more

2 weeks ago I passed a kidney stone and now I am getting sharp pains just at the bottom of my sternum and it hurts to touch. Is this kidney related?

Not kidney related: Kidney pain, especially stone related, radiates to the sides/back, and down towards the groin. It does not radiate to the midline sternum area (and it does not produce tactile pain). You are describing a medical problem that is not related to your kidney stone history. I am not sure what the reason is for your new condition but please seek attention from your general physician for a physical exam. ...Read more

My wife is diagnosed with kidney stones so after medication milk from breasts is not coming. I have a 4-month-old baby. Please suggest fr breast milk?

Pump or nursing?: Check with the prescribing MD to see if medication can be the cause. At four months many women's breasts reduce in size but still produce adequate milk. PUMPS use vacuum pressure to get milk out and in some it can become less and less effective. The baby nursing works the nipples differently and they can usually work the milk down. Good urine output indicates baby is getting the milk. No? See MD ...Read more

Hi Dr, Last year I had a kidney stone, and when they did a ct scan for the kidney stone they found a nodule on my lung, and now its gone, possible?

It is possible: One needs to know the characteristics of the nodule that was seen last year. Also, was a CT scan repeated now in order to follow up on the lung nodule? It would be best to see both studies side by side. A full clinical history would also be helpful. I suggest if you are concerned you schedule a consult with a physician. Best wishes. ...Read more

Blood test not helpf: Blood tests for PKD (polycystic kidney disease) are not currently helpful although the genetic causes for this are becoming known. Does this run in your family?
