I ve low GFR calculated abbreviatd MDRD [ its 76 now ] and my urine smells very strong and strange since recently,is this sign of mild kidney failure?

Not reliable: Your urine color/odor changes throughout the day--do you notice that couple of hours after consuming coffe you pee smell differently? Or after eating asparagus? Use of some meds/vitamin can change color of urine. So this is not reliable.
