Can Kidney Failure Cause Hip Pain
I have been suffering from urethral pain, urgency since I had a kidney stone pass 9/20/13. I fell & had a bad hip injury in october and had a cystoscope it was normal. Lots of back & hip pain. Causes
Medication: First rule out a urinary tract infection or bladder inflammation. If no infection, treatment with a medication for overactive bladder may relieve your urgency. Pyridium (phenazopyridine) is sometimes given to relieve painful urination. An orthopedic surgeon should investigate your ongoing back and hip pain looking for hairline fracture, etc. And, if indicated, ordering bone scan, ct scan, mri, etc.See 2 more doctor answers

Hi I'm having sever lower back and hip pain for no reason what could be causeing it what can I do to reduce the pain?
Why no reason?: Just because you didn't have an injury doesn't mean there is not reason for the pain. To decrease the pain, I would try ice along with NSAID medication and rest including avoidance of any exacerbating activity if you have no cause for the problem, you may need to work on strength and flexibiltiy to the affected area. Also, check out the condition of your mattress.See 1 more doctor answer
Pinched Nerve: Sounds like you have a pinched nerve in your back. I would suggest seeing a pain/spine specialist to evaluate you further to evaluate what level and what can be done to treat you. There are interventional treatments besides medications and surgeries that might reduce or eliminate the pain altogether.See 2 more doctor answers
What could cause bad lower back/hip pain that switches from left to right side occasionally? Feels very stiff, sometimes felt in butt. Going on 6month
Soft tissues: 32y fem has "severe low back/hip pain alternating from side to side for six months" + sciatica. Largest joints in axial spine are sacroiliac joints, SIJ, & responsible for up to 30% of chronic low back pain per med lit. Lumbar nerve roots that conjoin to make sciatic nerve lie over ventral sulcus of SIJ. SIJ hypermobility can tug on these nerves, stimulate them & thereby arouse pain. See Osteopath

My right hip pops in my lower back when I do sit ups & causes calf cramps & inner hip pain after walking why? & is this some type of hip displacement?
Lower back pain along with right buttock and right hip pain. Painful during movement. Looking down with chin on chest causes shooting pain down back.
Sciatica: Although there are several possibilities, one if the more common causes is a sciatica, which is an irritation of a nerve in the back that can cause pain that runs into the hip. When you lower your chin, it increases the pressure in the spinal canal and can aggravate the symptoms like you are describing. The hip and the SI joint are also potential causes. Don't hesitate to be seen.

I have pain near on my hips and back of it is that possible I have cervical cancer or kidney failure?
Back pain: The only way to answer your question is to go to your doctor, describe in detail the pain you are having - what brings it on, what makes it better, exact location, does it start one place and go another, how much does it bother you, is it sharp/dull/throbbing. Ask to be thoroughly examined head to toe. Then, let your doctor decide what the problem might be and go from there.See 1 more doctor answer
Kidney Stones: The pain of nephrolithiasis is the worst we know of and if you we passing a stone you would never have to ask questions. Suffice it to say, if you were passing one you would be in the emergency room and not have a single question in your mind as to the diagnosis. Morphine injections are a poor help.
4mm kidney stone xray showed it at L4. I've had a lot more pain & haematuria & now buttock/hip pain. Does that indicate the stone has moved to bladder?
Moved somewhat: It is known that these stones will hurt when they move. Bleeding will also occur. Can't always tell where it is by the pain. The closer to the bladder, the more likely you will feel it in the groin area or back. The best way to know where it is, is with an X-ray. Hope it passes quickly
I am haveing leg pain and hip pain and a burning sensation in my vagina and also back pain. Been treated for kidney infection already.
Leg pain etc.: You did not ask a question. My guess is that the problem is not due to a kidney infection. The only way to tell is to do a more careful history and physical exam to see what is causing the pain hand to teat the cause.See 1 more doctor answer

It: It sounds like you have a very complicated recent past medical history with the incomplete miscarriage and hemorrhage. I am sorry that you had to go through that. With your symptoms in the setting of a recent incomplete miscarriage, your doctor should be aware of the pain and swelling you are having. It would be reasonable to consult with your physician for an evaluation. I wish you the best in this difficult situation.
