Hive & rash: you have urticaria or allergic dermatitis, it is best if you see your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment, at the mean time try an antihistamine such as Zyrtec or Benadryl, (diphenhydramine) hydrocortisone cream, but you need to find out what you are allergic to. Treat infection: Treat the cause! if an infection, often fungal, most over-the-counter preparations are effective if you are compliant with the regimen for 1-2 weeks. Terbinafine, miconazole, Clotrimazole are common meds used to treat this. A topical steroid such as Hydrocortisone may be used at the same time to treat itching.
