Can jaw pain be associated with sinus and thyroid problems?

Yes, and more.: A proper diagnosis of jaw pain depends on a good history about it: where, how long, when in the day, what brings it on, etc. Diagnosis can also can depend to age, like in pain from the heart. Pain can be related to a number of other parts of the head or neck. The answer may be quick and easy or may be more difficult. Definitely, one needs to have it evaluated by a physician or dentist. Or both. ...Read more

Sinus: The maxillary sinus is located near your nose. If the pain is coming from there, then it might be a sinus infection. You could be coming down with a cold or have a bad tooth. A rotten tooth in the lower jaw can cause an infection that is draining into a space in the floor of the mouth. If you feel it is the latter, definitely go get checked! ...Read more

Unlikely, but....: It sounds more like tmj\tmd symptoms but you may also have an ear infection. I recommend that you see a dentist who might also suggest you see a physician. ...Read more

Headache, ear, jaw pain. Feel tired and have a foggy feeling. I think it's my sinus but not sure.

Head/jaw/ear pain: The symptoms you are describing can be attributed to the flu, sinus infection, tmj/tmd disorder (usually the result of bruxism, which is chronic teeth grinding and/or clenching), sleep apnea/sleep disorders. See your dentist for an examination and evaluation of tmd. See your medical doctor or an ENT specialist to check for sinus and/ or ear infections. ...Read more

Sinusitis: If you have sinusitis, the mucosal lining of the sinus gets inflammed, & swollen. The nerves to the upper teeth, run close to the lining of the sinus. The pressure of swollen lining on the nerves, can give you pain in the upper teeth.Sort of a dull annoying pain. Once the sinusitis is resolved, the lining of the sinus returns to normal & release of pressure leads to relief of pain in the teeth. ...Read more

Can sinus pressure cause lower tooth and jaw pain?

Possible: The complexity of the head and neck area never ceases to amaze me. The intimacy of the vessels, nerves and sinus and lymph chain of this area hold many surprises. Usually upper teeth are involved but it is possible, and it would be wise to have this type of symptom evaluated by your dentist to determine if it is dentally related. If it is not, then the next stop is your physician. ...Read more

Not sinus: Sinus problems are upper, not lower, jaw. Pain is a signal from your body to your brain that something's drastically wrong. May be infected (abscessed) tooth or one of many other problems. Pain killers will not cure the problem, only hide it as problem gets worse. Please put down the computer, pick up the phone, and call your dentist...Now. ...Read more
