Why taking iron?: Vit d helps calcium absorption so it's fine to take together (though if your blood level's ok it's not necessary). While it's safe to take iron at the same time, minerals can compete for absorption so it might be best to take at a different time than calcium. Vit c improves iron absorption. If you truly had an iron test as opposed to cbc (more common) you may need iron, however before starting it is advisable to get other tests done, including TIBC and ferritin.
