Watch your diet!: I agree but would add that certain foods and drinks can really aggravate your ic discomfort. I usually ask patients when they have flares if they have started any new medications and on occasion have found meds that worsen the symptoms. Elm iron: Ic is a chronic inflammation in the "wall" (interstitium) of the bladder resulting in pain, frequency and blood in the urine.
