I have compressed nerves in my spine and it causes my nipples to be hyper sensitive due to the inflamed nerves. did injections once worked 1week Help?

Unclear: The thoracic spinal nerves subserve the respective dermatomes of the chest, which are uncommonly compressed to produce a radiculopathy. Moreover, it is unclear how these become "inflamed" as a result, nor how injections (blocks? epidural?) were used as treatments. Suggest you visit your doctor who was involved in the diagnosis and treatment plan previously who has a full history on these issues. ...Read more

Can I use electric stimuli on my penis?

Can I use electric stimuli on my penis?

Huh?: Define electrical stimuli. I'd avoid jumper cables as a general rule for penile defibrillation. You can safely use medical vibrators on your penis if you need that extra kick to ejaculate. Otherwise, not sure where you're going with that question. ...Read more

Have bells palsy and was using an electrical stimulator. The target point to use on neck caused my hand to contract on same side and hand tingles. Why?

Nerve stimulation.: The target point for electrical nerve stimulation in Bell's Palsy should be on the face in front of the ear. What exercises can I do to stop or minimize my neck from cracking all the time due to severely hyper extended tendons (lower back of my head)?

None: Don't worry about noise or cracking. Instead, worry about numbness, tingling, weakness & pain. But don't worry about noise. There are no exercises to decrease noise or cracking. But anyone should go see his/her doctor if movement is painful or if any above noted symptoms. Also a good idea if any recent trauma or injury prior to new onset of cracking. ...Read more

If i am using an infrared heat lamp on my face to treat my cold, can it damage my eyes when they are closed?

If i am using an infrared heat lamp on my face to treat my cold, can it damage my eyes when they are closed?

Amazed: I continue to be amazed at the unending array of useless therapies for the common cold. If you like the way this feels, go ahead. Not too close, you can get burned. Wear goggles or at least keep your eyes closed. While not the serious hazard of UV lamps, there could be eye damage especially with prolonged exposure or close use. ...Read more

Can an electric massager like relax&tone worsen my pain in shoulders&back due to fibromyalgia.Could I use it on painful muscles. Please help me out .?

Not generally: The treatment for fibromyalgia is very complex and involves treating body, mind, and soul. A massager is okay for relaxing the muscles, but you need to be evaluated and fully treated. Physical therapy, proper sleep, certain medications, and exercise r all part of the treatment plan. Some medication to take for nerve damaage i hurt my finger at work done nerve damage and the last digit on my index finger will not move on its own......I would like to know what i can to to deal with the pain so i can work on moving my injuried finger to

Digit : Digit is the word doctors use to mean a finger or a toe. Each finger has several segments, each named a phalanx. The word for more than one phalanx is "phalanges". The joints between each phalanx is called an interphalangeal joint, and the fingers have two interphalangeal joints. The interphalangeal joint that is closer to the fingertip is called the distal interphalageal joint, or dip. The other interphalageal joint is called the proximal interphalageal joint, or pip. At the base of each finger are the knuckles, which doctors call the metacarpal phalangeal joints, or mcp. It is uncommon for a neurological problem to affect just one dip joint. More commonly, after an injury, this joint becomes fused or a tendon develops a contracture. Examination by a neurologist, hand surgeon, or occupational therapist (the kind of therapists that specialist in the hands) can determine the source of the problem. Once the source is identified, treatments, which might include surgery, other interventions, or medications can be chosen. ...Read more

Is cuff on blood pressure monitor suppose to squeeze arm so tight to painful to bear? Making three red lines on my arm after. Can this be safe to use

Check your cuff: The sphygmomanometer may have settings that limit the maximum pressure. If your blood pressure is always 150/90 or less for example, you may be able to tell you cuff to only go up to 170 (rather than 200 mmhg). This would make it more tolerable. Either way it is not likely to be dangerous. ...Read more
