Lot of miralax (polyethylene glycol): Regurgitating too much miralax (polyethylene glycol) is not uncommon if the stomach gets overloaded and cant handle the volumn injested. I prefer GoLightly which adsorbs fluid into the small bowel and secondarily cleanses the colon. In spite of everything I still suggest a Fleet enema before going for the procedure. Read more

Probably ok: It's probably ok, as long as you follow all the other guidelines. But you will be extending the time from clearing out your bowels to when you can start eating again! Read more

Best to: Discuss this with your GI doctor or colon and rectal surgeon who will be performing the procedure. Try drinking less caffeine and more fluid to 80 ounces per day or more and you will probably not need the MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) any longer. Read more

Should be OK: As long as you are not having a lot of abdominal pain nor rectal bleeding, it should be ok. Everyone's intestinal transit time is different. If you are concerned about not going, the MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) should be ok. Read more

Diet: If you have had a full work-up for your constipation, including lab tests. And you've reviewed any medications that might cause constipation, like blood pressure medications, then I would suggest you work on diet. Some people need a lot of fiber.
