Can I use expired ex-lax ultra pills or get new ones?

Probably safe.: Expiration dates for oral meds are usually very conservative and have to do with marketing, product cycling and regulatory issues than potency. As long as they were stored under reasonable conditions should be good for many months beyond expiration. ...Read more

I accidentally took an expired (18 months ago!) Zyrtec pill. Should I take the correct (unexpired) one nowbad well or should I wait 24 hours?

Wait: Medication can lose it's effectiveness past expiration date, but I would not expect it to not be effective at all; especially if only 18 months expired. It will not be harmful at all that you took an expired zyrtec. It will probably still be almost as effective as it was prior to expiration, so I would just wait and take a new one at your normal time the next day. Hope this helps! ...Read more

Yes.: If you don't want a period, you can skip the reminder pills and just start the active pills or the new pack. However, sometimes when taking the active pills continuously, you may get some breakthrough bleeding. If it's slight, you can ignore it. If it's more, stop the active pills for 4-5 days to let the period come, then re-start the active pills. ...Read more

Can I drink if I started to use contraception patch?

Can I drink if I started to use contraception patch?

I guess: I guess, you are referring to drinking alcohol. If so, yes, you can drink, although, remember, the first month of use of the contraceptive patch, you are not guaranteed full protection from pregnancy. Also, if you are someone who gets drunk, i don't give you green light by sending this message, because drinking is bad and you should not drink for other reasons. Alcohol doesn't interfere w/patch. ...Read more

Would it be safe to take expired seasonique pills from 2010. Just for a week or so till i can refill. ?

Would it be safe to take expired seasonique pills from 2010. Just for a week or so till i can refill. ?

No good answer!: While i'm sure that the drug companies have a margin built in around expiration dates, i'm not sure i'd chance it - particularly with an expiration date of 2010. Have you asked your pharmacist or called the 1-800 number associted with your pill? Good luck. Lgromko md. ...Read more

Yes: You can stop birth control pills any time. If you stop them in the middle of the pack, you will have period-like bleeding and moodiness and it make take a few months for your period to get back to normal. It won't otherwise harm you. If you finish the pack before you stop, you can avoid those side effects. Best wishes! ...Read more

Hi. We used an expired condom by mistake. It expired in 2011 and I bought it yest. It DID NOT break. Are we safe from preg? 7 days till next period.

Cannot say 100%: Even if the condom was not expired there is a small risk of possible pregnancy, so theoretically this increases a little with an expired condom. You can take Plan B to be certain of no pregnancy. Otherwise, do a pregnancy test if you miss your period ...Read more
