Can I Take Tylonel With Predinosone
I'm on prednisone for an allergic reaction to something unknown. I also have chronic leg pain. What is safe to take besides Tylenol?
NSAID is ok: You may also try NSAID with the understanding that your stomach will more likely to get upset because of the prednisone. Taking OTC antacid medication may help reduce the side effects. There are also topical (Rx) NSAID available as well. I am puzzled as to what kind of allergic reaction you are taking prednisone for. ...Read more
Prednisone is a synthetic cortisone. The body makes cortisone, a natural hormone made in adrenal glands. The body converts it to Hydrocortisone to become active. 25 mg of cortisone has about same effect as 5 mgm prednisone. The average person would produce 3-6 mg of pred daily. So why use a substitute? The synthetic has more anti-inflammatory effect; but has less effect ...Read more
Can I take prednisone and proair inhaler together and if needed Tylenol and robitussin dnt? I also take Zoloft 50mg at night. I'm 42 years old.
I have a lymph node in my neck that is super, super painful. I'm taking tylenol and 800 mg ibuprofen plus augmentin and prednisone. Is there anything else that can help?
Reactive lymph node: It sounds like you are treating an infection. The location appears unclear, but seems to suggest the ear, nose and throat region. The lymph node is reactive and should regress per treatment. The only suggestion I have would be to take either Ibuprofen or Prednisone, both anti-inflammatory, both with somewhat similar side effect profile. Hydration and rest are critical. ...Read more
DrugDrug interaction: So I have to ask. Because I'm curious. How did you get gravol (your listing shows lakeland, fl)? It's not a brand of dimenhydrinate sold here in us where it goes under more common name of dramamine. In any case, I found no drug-drug interactions at http://www. Drugs. Com/interactions-check. Php? Drug_list=892-0, 48-8460. Still, it's always a good idea to tell your doc everything you're taking. ...Read more
One of the reasons Drs. Suggest Tylenol (acetaminophen) is the relative lack of drug interactions with other drugs and few side effects. Be careful not to take too much Tylenol (acetaminophen) though. Follow the label. Things like Nyquil have it hidden in the mix, for example.
The usual warnings about lorazepam still apply; using machinery and driving, for example. ...Read more
Sounds ok: If a person had no prior problem with taking Vimovo (esomeprazole and naproxen) by itself, or either of its ingredients by themselves; and had no problem taking Tylenol #1 (acetaminophen and codeine) by itself, or either of its ingredients by themselves; then she should be ok taking Vimovo and Tylenol #1 together. They may cause stomach symptoms. Be sure to follow one's doctor's instructions. ...Read more
Read label...: If the formulation you are referring to has diphenhydramine in it, be careful about excess sedation when taking it with melatonin. If it only has acetaminophen in it, then do not exceed 3 grams in a 24 hour interval. Read the instructions to determine how much to take in a single dose. Good luck! ...Read more
Codeine is the component of Tylenol 3 that would be tested. It would 3-5 days to be not detectable in urine.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.

I would try and avoid taking up to 3000mg of tylenol on a regular basis regardless of what source. While 3000mg/24 is an accepted dosing amount. The potential for cumulative toxicity is still significant especially if you take it regularly. Also, be very cautious if you have liver problems, consume alcohol or take other medications metabolized in the liver.
Hope that helps. ...Read more
