Can I Take Tramadol Before Surgery
I am a very high strung 50 year old women with a history of back surgery and some moderate pain issues in tailbone. I do not take anything for pain except 25 mg of tramadol occasionally and I am actively seeking help from orthopedics, physiatrists and my
Minn. Doctors. I have had pain in my pelvic area since 1992 from cancer surgery & 37 radiation treatments. I take mostly Tylenol (acetaminophen) & some tramadol?
Not uncommon: Twenty two years post pelvic surgery with the only complaint of some pain controlled by mild oral meds is fairly good. When pelvic surgery and RT used, one thinks of hysterectomy or rectal Ca for cancer. The intestine usually drops into the pelvis and RT causes fibrosis around bowel and bladder to produce discomfort. At 90 no other approach should be used for management. ...Read more

I've had endometriosis & fibroid cysts. Had surgery but still have bad cycles. Is a muscle relaxer or pain med such as Percocet or tramadol better?
None of those: Muscle relaxers may or may not give any relief and percocet and tramadol not meant for chronic use due to being addictive. Lupron (leuprolide) would be a better alternate. Also its fibroids in the uterus and fibrocystic changes in the breast. You likely have fibroids (benign tumors of the uterus). Surgery may help as well. ...Read more
Drug dependency past surgery for back resulting in taking tramadol. When tramadol stopped. Withdrawal symptoms. Suboxone treatment. Resent hospitalization resulting. Whyin with drawal symptoms again. Have appt with Suboxone doctor. I continue to have wit
Tramadol! Becareful: Use of tramadol is not recommended in those with history of substance dependency. Many overlook this point. Suboxone is also an opiate and more potent than tramadol. Its best to start low and taper fast when detoxing from tramadol by using suboxone. Every situation is unique and these are generalizations. Support groups and consultation with an addiction specialist is advised. Best of luck. ...Read more
Is tramadol with 10mg Valium & 15mg oxazepam & nitrous oxide & novacaine ok for tooth extraction surgery?
Too much!: Unless you are doing conscious sedation, which is very involved with informed consent and presentation of the entire sedation process, then this is too much. Unless you have high anxiety or fear, for which you should get sedated at someone that has proper training and equipment such as pulsoximeter, local anesthetic is appropriate. ...Read more
3 days late and no menstral cycle? Not sexually active, had previous knee surgery given tramadol for pain relief. Is this normal to not have a period?
Stress: Any large stress on your body can cause hormone fluctuation. Surgery is definitely a large stress and many different hormones get released. If you have not been sexually active, just give it time. Should you have other problems, fever, pain, discharge, etc. Then I would suggest seeing your doctor. ...Read more

Yes and no: This surgery can be helpful. Creon and tramadol will not stop the pain. 19 is very young to have the surgery. It is a difficult decision to know what to do. Need reevaluation: This could be any number of things. It is not unheard of to have tennis elbow pain despite surgery. I would recommend a reevaluation.
