You can take: ranitidine 150 twice a day as well. HOWEVER you should discuss the severity of your symptoms since some testing may be indicated!! The symptoms are those of severe REFLUX and the health of your upper GI system is threatened!

Omeprazole: Like other PPI's (Proton pump inhibitors) take several days to work thus are NOT the best OTC medications for acute stomach pain. Its best to start with an antacid liquid (eg Maalox, Gelusil, Mylanta (the last of which may also help bloating) The main thing is IF IT CONTINUES check it out with your Primary Care Provider!

Synthroid (thyroxine) has: Such a small amount of lactose in it that I doubt it would irritate your stomach. You could try taking it with some lactase such as Lactaid. Another brand name T4 replacement, Tirosint, doesn't contain lactose, at least as far as I'm aware. ...Read more
