Hives: Hives are an allergic reaction. There are many possible causes of hives-foods, medications, infections, inflammatory or autoimmune conditions. Can Flagyl cause hypertonicity & limbs/face numbness as side effect? Was also taking Percocet, benedryl, phenergan, (promethazine) synthroid, & klonopin w/no issue.

Can Flagyl cause hypertonicity & limbs/face numbness as side effect? Was also taking Percocet, benedryl, phenergan, (promethazine) synthroid, & klonopin w/no issue.

Rule out alcohol: Flagyl can cause a build up of a toxic substance if taken with alcohol. The alcohol can be consumed or can be assimilated by hand washes, mouth washes, etc. The toxic build up would be my first guess as to the reason for the side effects noted. With a pharmacist or online you can search for known side effects of Flagyl (metronidazole). ...Read more

Would it be ok to take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) that expired in 11/09?

Benadryl (diphenhydramine): Taking medication that expired almost 5 years ago is probably not a good idea. It may be safe, but I don't know for sure. If we were in the Zombie apocalypse and you had no other choice I would say go for it. Would it be fine to take adderall with a benadryl?

Talk 2 dr/pharmacist: There are no particular drug-drug interactions, but we don't know what other medications you are on, or what your other health issues are.
