Is it ok to take meclizine and phenergan (promethazine) together and can I use Zofran for breakthrough nausea?
Caution with meds: This is not a good idea. Using promethazine together with meclizine may increase side effects such as drowsiness, blurred vision, dry mouth, difficulty urinating, abdominal cramping, constipation, rapid heart beat, confusion, etc. All three of those drugs work for nausea -so you must be quite miserable. Would check back with your Primary for an optimal schedule. Maybe Zofran (ondansetron) works the best for u? ...Read more
My dr gave me script for phenergan (promethazine) 25 mg QD. And Zofran 8 Mg QD. The same day. Is it safe to take together or don't. I have asthma & High BP.?
CheckWithYourDoctor: Assuming you're of average size with no liver or kidney problems, not on medications that make you drowsy, or take any downers or drink a lot, or intend on driving or operating heavy machinery or have to study for a test or go to a movie intending not to fall asleep half through it or are going scuba diving you should do OK. But, really one of them is probably enough. Check with your doc; ...Read more
I took Norco 10/325 for knee pain my dr gave me. My dr also gave me Phenergan (promethazine) 25 mg. Can I take both together & does it help with Anxiety To. Thanks.
Would get evaluation: We need more information of your diagnosis. It would be better not to be on narcotics. Anxiety should be treated separately. It depends on your x-rays your examination and other imaging studies. You need to discuss your physician. A lot of this depends on the correct diagnosis ...Read more
My Dr gave me Phenergan (promethazine) 25 Mg &Norco 10/325 Cause I have Knee Pain. Can I take them together. & is Phenergan (promethazine) for Anxiety. What dose does it help.
My dr gave me Norco 10/325 & Phenergan (promethazine) 25 Mg For Knee Injury. & Gave Me Flexeril 5 Mg. Can I take all of them together or space them out by 2 hours.
All are sedating: This could be potently sedating cocktail for someone who is not already used-to (tolerant to) these medications. If instructions are unclear I would ask the prescribing doc how he or she intends you to take these. Usually Norco is taken preferentially as-needed for pain. Phenergan (promethazine) would be taken if you get nausea or itching from the Norco. Flexeril, however has a less clear role in knee injury ...Read more
My dr gave me script for Tylenol (acetaminophen) 3 every 4 hours.& phenergan 25 mg For knee injury. Can I take this together. I have asthma and take proair Hfa to.?
Drop the phenergan (promethazine): Better to drop the phenergan, would interact with both pro-air and tylenol (acetaminophen) #3, unless you're really nauseated, ask your doctor for a replacement, I trust that your doctor wouldn't mind if you ask. Take the tylenol (acetaminophen)#3 only as needed and as prescribed, good that you inquired, always exercise caution with multiple medications, wish you wellness ...Read more
Can I take Norco 10/325 for (L) knee injury it hurts on the sides.& Phenergan (promethazine) 25mg & Flexeril 5mg for muscle problems.& Mobic 15 Mg Together.
My sports medicine doctor gave me a script for Tylenol (acetaminophen) 3 for knee pain. & I take phenergan 25mg. Can I take this together or wait 2 hours apart.
Timing: You can take them together but fatigue will be the biggest issue. Even with a two hour difference, the sedation could be noticeable. Likely smarter to separate them a bit. ...Read more
Are any of these meds diuretics: Prednisone, Phenergan, (promethazine) Lomotil, Bentyl? I take them together and after a couple hours, I have to pee every 10 minutes
Not diuretics: These medications are not diuretics. If you urinate every 10 minutes, urinary tract infection has to be ruled out. See your doctor. Bentyl (dicyclomine) has anticholinergic side effects and might be responsible for urinary disturbances, usually difficulty to start urination. ...Read more

Do try prilosac for gerd as dr. Bansal suggested. You may also try one of the older antihistamines like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or chlortrimeton which may help you sleep. You can still take zyrtec in the day time.
Singulair can still be taken at night. It has no effect on sleep. If medicines are not helpful, allergy evaluation and immunothrapy
