If i stop using propecia (finasteride) due to side effects will the side effects continue still or it will stop when i stop using the medicine.?

Effects will stop. : The most common side effects of Finasteride (propecia) are depression, decreased libido, decreased ejaculate volume, and breast size increase. These side effects are reversible, and will disappear after you stop the medication. The half-life of the drug is 6 hours, so the medication will wash out in 1-2 days. Studies AFTER the drug was available showed that in men who had fertility problems (determined they had sperm problems), that stopping the med improved sperm count 4x in 14 of 24 men. The other 10 had no change. In men WITHOUT fertility problems, nothing is known about sperm numbers. ...Read more
