May need adjustment: According to JNC8 pathients who are 60 years of age or older and do not have diabetes or chronic kidney disease
But you have Diabetes and for you the goal is 140/90 and if your systolic is over 140.you may need adjustment in your therapy

I take 40 mg of lisinopril daily. My blood pressure was 166/102 at 6am. I took my meds and Around 9:30 am I had it taken again and it was 160/110 ??

There is hope for ED: I'm not sure how often 48 yo s. "should" have erections to be "normal".
Feeling "without hope" because of perceived ED is not right without a medical work up. So don't be that guy and see an internist/endocrine Dr.

Hypertension: The reported BP is fine, a diastolic of 65 is admirable.If you stop taking scheduled meds prescribed for documented diagnosed hypertension then the BP will rise up though perhaps not right away;so do take the med as prescribed.Losartan sometimes works better taken divided in to 2 doses 12 hours apart eg 50mg every 12 hours.Good luck. ...Read more
