Can I Take Methadone With Zoloft
I am currently on 55 mg of Methadone daily. Is it safe for me to also take 12.5 mg of Zoloft daily?? Is this a dangerous combination??
Methadone and sertraline both have some potential to increase risk for an abnormal heartbeat. This risk is proportional to the dose (lower doses = lower risk). You describe low doses, but an ECG would be recommended when available to ensure safety.
Of course, it's always important to inform prescribing doctors of all other medication one is taking so that interactions can be considered. ...Read more

I have been taking Zoloft (sertraline) 50mg for 2 weeks on top of methadone 80mg (1 year). I get really sleepy in the afternoon. Is it safe? I've read bad things.
Your doctor and the: Methadone program need to know about each other, and if not, make sure they do right away. Zoloft (sertraline), (sertraline) like all SSRIs, has the potential to be sedating, plus it can (although usually in higher doses) reduce metabolism of Methadone so that the blood levels go higher. Talk to the nurse at your program (or your pain doctor) to see if your Methadone dose needs a bit of lowering. Zoloft (sertraline) is a very safe drug ...Read more

How long do u take Zoloft (sertraline) for. I've been on it 1 month. I don't want to go all summer without a drink. I'm on 0.50 mgs and feel better?
6 months or longer: I'm glad you're feeling better. Zoloft (sertraline) is used to treat depressive and anxiety disorders, so the length of time you will need on it will depend on your diagnosis. Some conditions, like a single major depressive episode, require at least six months to ensure adequate treatment. For some conditions, zoloft (sertraline) is prescribed indefinitely. Careful about alcohol. It will reduce the effectiveness of zoloft (sertraline). ...Read more

Why can't I take oxyelite pro while I'm taking zoloft (sertraline)? I'm in medical field so complicated answer is okay
Unregulated: All supplements are unregulated by fda, so they can put 'pro' and 'awesome' and whatever you want to hear to get excited and spend money, but the fact is there are things they can put that do work, and are dangerous. I see kidney stones, heart, liver and other problems that come from muscle and energy supplements. So with or without zoloft, (sertraline) I wouldn't recommend that stuff. ...Read more

Dr prescription me 5mg methadone 3x a day for pain. I also take ambiencr 12.5. Dr didn't mention anything but I read it could make me stop breathing. This true?
Yes: Methadone and Ambien (zolpidem) are 2 medications that when taken in high doses may affect your respiratory rate. An overdose of either of these medications can cause you to stop breathing. Generally, if you are tolerating Methadone without any adverse affects, then combining it with Ambien (zolpidem) should not be a problem. You may also try a dose of Ambien (zolpidem) that is smaller, usually 6.25 mg is sufficient. ...Read more

I didn't take my night dose of Zoloft (sertraline) & strattera! What can happen? I already didn't see benefit on meds. Will this missed dose affect its effectivity?
Not a Problem: Skipping a day in taking these medications will not be a problem. Just take your next scheduled dose. The effectiveness for both drugs will depend on amount of drug and the time it is in the system. Both depend on time to know if they will be effective. Give 4 weeks for both, then ask your doctor if should increase the doses. ...Read more

Not advisable: Ativan will commonly cause amnesia. You should not drink in combination with the Ativan, the result can be as you found, but can be more serious including death.
